Speed matters, but clarity matters first. An early product becomes easier to build when the team agrees what problem it solves and who experiences that problem most often.

1. Who is the first user?

Be specific about the person, their daily work and their current alternatives. A good MVP is built for a recognisable job, not for everyone at once.

2. What is the one task to improve?

Choose the shortest valuable workflow: request a quote, book an appointment, approve a purchase or review stock. Define what a successful result looks like.

3. Which integrations are required?

List payment, CRM, inventory and identity systems early. Integrations often determine data design, permission boundaries and delivery complexity.

4. What should happen when something fails?

Document error states, validation, retries, human handoff and support paths. These details build confidence for the people who use the product.

5. How will you know the launch worked?

Measure completed tasks, turnaround time, reliability and user feedback before adding more features. An MVP is a learning instrument, not a smaller version of every roadmap idea.

Build with intention: prioritise a useful flow, ship a stable first version, learn and then extend.
